Promoter Mark Jovich and UFC Fighter Charlie “The Spaniard” Brenneman www.charlie-brenneman.com/ bring the Warrior Challenge 11 to the Poconos. Friday, April 15, the Central Pennsylvania Warrior Challenge www.warriorchallenge.info/ returns to the Poconos with Warrior Challenge 11. The Warrior Challenge promotions have become the model for mixed martial arts promotions in Pennsylvania.
Warrior Challenge 11 offers a stacked fight card www.mixedmartialarts.com of Professional and Amateur fighters for Friday night’s event, including 3 Professional bouts and 4 Title Fights.
Something is a little different for this event. The Warrior Challenge 11 event will be the first mixed martial arts promotion on a Pennsylvania university campus. The event will be held at Koehler Hall on the East Stroudsburg University campus.
Mark Jovich and Charlie “The Spaniard” Brenneman first met at Warrior Challenge 3 where Charlie was on the fight card before entering the UFC. They have remained friends ever since.
Charlie approached Mark with the idea about 6 months ago. His goal was to bring MMA to his alma mater and more importantly support a solid cause. “That cause being the East Stroudsburg Warriors Wrestling Team” says Brenneman.
Charlie, a current UFC Fighter, is a graduate, standout wrestler and assistant coach at East Stroudsburg University. This is one way he gives back to the school and community. At the same time he will be helping to educate the public on America’s fastest growing sport – MMA!
Charlie comments “Mark immediately came to mind. The Central Pennsylvania Warrior Challenge events are established, extremely organized, and well run promotions that continually produce solid fight cards.”
In just 2 short years hundreds of Professional and Amateur fighters have started their mixed martial arts careers in the Warrior Challenge events.
Warrior Challenge 11, Friday April 15, at East Stroudsburg University will again be another solid promotion with a great cause. Tickets available at: http://warriorchallenge11-eorg.eventbrite.com/
