AUDIO: Nic Bedelyon
Rider Coaches Gary Taylor and John Hangey took their time when looking for their new assistant. They wanted a young man that could compete, coach and grow with their program. They also wanted a young man who wanted to be a coach, a head coach. They found one in Kent, Ohio.
Nic Bedelyon was the Third wrestler in Kent State history to be a two-time All-American. He had 113 career victories which ranks sixth most in program history and third most without a redshirt season. Nic became just the fifth wrestler in Kent State history to qualify for NCAA Championships four times. He was a Four-time MAC finalist and two-time MAC champion and is now an assistant at Rider University.
