Up & Comers Announces January Event in Tulare

Up & Comers Mixed Martial Arts is bringing UPC-8 to Tulare on January 21, 2012 at the Veterans Memorial Building. “We are very excited to be in the South Valley, they have some great gyms and fighters that will have the chance to compete in-front of the home crowd.” UPC President Jason Weiner.

 

Championship Belts will be the theme of the night as 3 UPC Titles will be up for grabs during the 12-bout card. King’s Knight stud Galen Williams will take on Reaper Muay Thai standout Ben Castaneda for the Bantamweight Title! Williams is 2-0 and will look to keep his undefeated career in check against his toughest opponent to date. Castaneda (2-1) is coming off his only defeat, to California State MMA Champion Radames Garcis in the Nor-Cal Finals last October.

 

“This card is filled with some of the top amateur MMA athletes from Madera to Bakersfield who will showcase their talents in the cage. The question for the Williams-Castaneda bout is simple… Who one is the real deal.”

 

The Tulare Veterans Memorial Building will host the 1st UPC event for 2012, Saturday January 21 with doors opening at 5pm and fights starting at 6pm. “This is an outstanding venue for UPC and we are looking forward to building the sport of MMA in the South Valley.”
