Promotions a Kickboxing promotions’ company based out of the Sacramento / Rocklin, CA in conjunction with Tommy T’s Comedy and Dinner Theater of Rancho Cordova and the International Kickboxing Federation (IKF) the largest kickboxing organization in the world confirmed this week that twelve year old kickboxing sensation Katrina ” The Storm” Nahee (4-0) of Antioch will be fighting Friday night- February 12th, 2010 at the Doubletree Hotel in Sacramento, CA. She will be one of about 15 other bouts between men and women scheduled for this Las Vegas style night of IKF Championship Kickboxing! This is the first official Full Contact Kickboxing match for fighters under the age of 15 years old in the State of California. Nahe who is a two time IKF World Classic Champion will be taking on top contender 14 year old Aneka Otte (3-1) of Scottsdale, AZ for a Junior Girls IKF Title…Otte is trained by long time Muay Thai trainer Bob Karmel. Nahe is trained by Mr. Dennis Guila of Guila’s Kickboxing of Antioch, CA. The 5’1″ tall Nahe has been competing in IKF Point Kickboxing Tournaments since the age of around six to help prepare her for the full contact fights she participates in today.Also, Rising star T. J. Archangle of San Francisco, CA who is the current IKF California Light Welterweight Champion will defend his title against Rick Erlec of Concord, CA in a Muay Thai Kickboxing bout that includes knees to the body. The IKF is a joke.
They invite fighters to their cards and you would asume there would be neutral judges, like Nevada for example. Instead you find the fight is being judged by “IKF” judges who award points to their IFK fighters if a strike comes within a foot of their opponent. They apparently also award points to their fighters for running their butts off and taking punches.
The IKF is a pathetic example of self promotion and unfair judging.
