Strikeforce Aftermath Blog
Congrats to all the fighters that came out victorious on both Strikeforce cards. I was sad to see that Cole Escovedo wasn’t on the main card, because he has the most experience out of all the fighters on the card. I do understand why, it was on Showtime so they have to highlight national fighters not just the local talent.
Brandon Cash looked great throughout the fight but he got caught. Given the loss people should be able to look past it and see his shear power. After, he dropped Del Rosario with a hard right hand. He just showed a weakness in his game that needs to be worked on and I hope to see him fight soon after he recovers from another hand injury.
The other local fighters looked good; Evangelista is finally gaining recognition for his talents. I can’t wait to see who Strikeforce decides put in front of him next.
As for the Fedor fight, seeing him live is an experience that is unexplainable. People were surprised to see Rogers damage him early on, but Fedor is tough. He weathered the storm and beat Rogers, now for Strikeforce needs to find a great heavyweight competitor to compete on Fedor’s level besides Alistair Overeem.
American fans are also starting to see the awesomeness that is Gegard Mousasi. He is one of the best out there and MMA fans stateside will now know what Japanese fans already know.
