“Fall From Grace Vol 2.” by “Fallen Angel” Dominique Robinson

*Sigh* Maybe it’s the month of October. October, a month of spirits both good and bad…mainly bad, a month of demonic incantations, voodoo dolls, Wicca rituals, zombies, cults, and a bunch of other bad s**t….or maybe it’s just me and the fact that this damned fight name just brings bad energy to me. Don’t know what you all did but Halloween is one of my favorite days and this was my third one in a row that didn’t go the way I planned, matter of fact this month never goes the way I planned. As far as this month goes now I’ve listened to stories of my man Mots trying to have his whole persona, what makes him the man that he is, dictated. I’ve read how my boy Issac De Jesus could have been in WEC right now but Brandon Visher is instead after beating him after being teamed up with Hawaii itself….and on a side note please pay the man f**k it’s a recession. I didn’t get to see my lil one on Halloween as planned. I had to sit and listen to complete bulls**t as someone told me how great of a person they were while DOING everything opposite  of what they describe, until I finally got sick of the lack of ovarial fortitude and had to tell them to f**k off, and unlike most I DON’T wish them well in life and I hope I’m around when they figure out lying about what makes you you, not being genuine, having an okay face, good body, and being intelligent, doesn’t make you a good person, and that when you can’t even be honest with yourself, that no one in life will ever be honest with you and that it doesn’t turn out well in the end. I had to sit and look online at bankofthewest.com and keep perfect track of my bank account as my money goes down and down, but rarely up, as I’m not “big time” enough to get those sponsors that “help a fighter get by on training” like the here’s a car/monthly salary/hook up to a top gym Team Take down sponsorship, or a here this should get you through the month every month MTX audio sponsership and whatever else is out there….I know Paul Buentello and he was fortunate enough to, when he first started, get one sponsor that has helped him along from small to big and still with him till this day, and how Patrick Cote got a sponsor that supplied him with monthly money to train from like his third fight on. I remember when between fights I used to teach a lot of privates, but with the economy the way it is, 95% of those are gone, and I tried to go about it the way “El Cucui” said he goes about it “f**k I do the smaller shows because there are so many of them I might as well get some money rather than no money” and, as usual, even those guys rarely call my manager back and when they do the people pull out or no one accepts period. I’ve had a heated, personal discussion with my manager that came out the blue and drained tons of my energy as I’m the type of person that prefers to keep their past and personal feelings to themselves. My website designer went through their usual indecisive state. I STILL search my yahoo inbox everyday as I STILL wait on my TFC contract to be resent with a deal that makes them happy and me…content to put it best, while I hope for some of my teammates to be able to try their skills in the promotion as well. I STILL wait for two potential sponsors I’ve personally contacted me to at least say “f**k off your not Tito Ortiz” rather than ignore me, while I wait on a whole bunch of other sponsors to do the same that my PR person has been in contact with…oh…and on top of all of this…yea…Halloween sucked. As I sat at Denny’s treating my friends who happen to be worse off than I am right now to huge stacks of whole wheat pancakes with sugar free syrup of course, turkey bacon, and egg whites, gorging my disgust/sorrow/disappointment away while thinking about what to write for my boy Mots it hits me and this here is what I came up with. I know by now people might be like “awwwwww Angel’s whining again” well, maybe, and those people are always encouraged to sign a fight with me so we can both make a little bit of money. The point of this article is because I was a VIP guest at two places, yes, in this evil month of October. One place I was a guest at, my friends and I had been to this place numerous times and were like ghost there, sometimes even treated badly by employees, and now here we sat with girls bouncing all over us,   my fights all on the TV’s, people asking for autographs, being given free bottles, free meals, etc. As can be expected my friends were happy because, well, look at all the stuff being a “hopeful star in the making can get you” until one friend looked at me standing there not amused with any of it. He walked over to me and asked what was wrong and I replied “It’s all fake, all of this. Your getting into fighting and your my main training partner but don’t ever forget that if you make it big. These people never cared about us all the times we have been here, and I’m the same person I am now as I was then, but because they think I may be something one day we get treated like this….It’s all fake”. My boy sat and thought about what I said nodding his head as I thought about how rich people get to go into these expensive restaurants WITH the money to pay, yet they get a free meal just because the owner is happy to have them as a patron there, while a homeless man sits right behind the place starving and they will NEVER hand him a plate. Apply this to clothing stores, as a matter of fact, apply this to everything I “complained” about in this article but make me famous and rich when you apply it. Do you think the promoters wouldn’t call back, or the sponsors, or that I’d have to wait for every to work out a contract…or that that contract would be content or however I wanted it. That my online account would stay close to zero or that it would constantly go up just because people want my presence around? hell I even tried to get on this Nov Strikeforce vs you know who, but I got no call back and some weirdo is on there instead…do you think they wouldn’t have called back? I mean, for god’s sake they signed Herschel Walker didn’t they? proof in point. Oh and yes you can even apply it to the friendship side of things…the NOT genuine person I spoke of would be an actor as good as Denzel Washington if I was famous and rich take my word for it. Money is the root of all evil and so is TV…it’s a shame how these two things can affect the way so many people act, thus, affecting how so many people never get their just do, though, it is all just an illusion. As I sit here right now free styling most of this and think about how grand all those extra $0′s would be, or that $500 plate of two spinach leaves, covered in lobster sauce with one snail on the plate,  a bunch of “friends” around me, sponsors, VIP everywhere, and my boys covered in gals like War Machine is soon to be…I realize I wouldn’t want it that way, it’s all an illusion. When I make it and these people grovel to give me this and that, and have me on this show and that show, when it used to be “f**k Angel” I’ll remember that, like Shakespeare said “The whole world’s a stage” and their just actors and I’ll use them for what actors are used for, entertainment, take what they give me with a FU finger up, and walk away head held high with the few people in my life that are OFF that stage….until next time
